U.K. Talksport Droitwich 1053 kHz QSL


Talksport on 1053 khz made it through on the 27th August 2003. I received a verification letter in response to my reception report. The station has been heard on a quite a few occasions since.

Grenada - Harbour Light Of The Windwards, Carriacou 1400 kHz QSL

The Harbour Light Of The Windwards was heard in Fish Hoek on the 6th July 2003 via the FRG7 and 50 metre longwire antenna. The station has been heard fairly regularly over the years with some surprising signal peaks.

4QN Townsville on 630 kHz made it through to Fish Hoek on the 9th May 1992 via the FRG7 and 50 metre longwire antenna.

3LO Melbourne VIC 774 kHz QSL

3LO Melbourne on 774kHz was heard on the 15th April 1992 via the FRG7 and 50 metre longwire antenna at Fish Hoek.

Assistant Manager G K Glover kindly responded with a verification letter and added :

" ... For the signal to extend right across Australia to South Africa is most unusual. I don't recall ever having had a report from this far away ... "
